We liked this charming small and modern hotel and stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were modern with a Scandinavian design, plus the bathroom was nice looking. The location was magnificent, in the fields coming there. Our breakfast was DELICIOUS and wonderful, they offered cereal and cheese.

Our stay was good, recommend this hotel to family. Clean venue, services were good and location was nice on the lower south coast. Location: the hotel was just next door to southern Iceland sights, a river nearby and the horses, and less for dinner.
Their staff were not very friendly.

We loved exploring the Lava Centre and the nearby golf course. The view from the hotel was fine, and the breakfast buffet was the best we had during our trip. The staff was really friendly.
Our room had some bright outdoor lights that kept us up at night. It made it hard to sleep and see the stars.

Hotel Laekur's charming decor and cozy fireplace created a warm home-like atmosphere. The lounges were comfortably furnished, especially of Mt. Hekla.
More accessible seating in the dining area would help.

I had a fantastic time enjoying the hot tub and sauna after a long day of exploring. The views from the rooms are just breathtaking, and the breakfast spread was something to look forward to every morning. Only downside was that the bathroom could've used some updating, but overall, I would definitely recommend it! 😊

We stayed in a suite with a river view and loved the serene surroundings. The breakfast was homemade and delicious, with local flavors, made our mornings good. Plus, we witnessed the Northern Lights-a magical experience that brought our family closer together, especially for my fiance and me.
My kids wished for a larger play area outside.

Fine scenic views and a pristine river backdrop create a tranquil setting that's hard to beat. Cozy hot tub features perfect for northern lights viewing made for lovely experiences after adventurous days.
Showering can be an issue. Low water pressure and not enough hot water for larger groups can lead to discomfort. The restaurant pricing felt steep compared to portion sizes, something to consider if you're planning to eat in. Accessing nearby towns requires a bit of a trek, as this place is a good distance from additional dining or attraction options.
